About
My PhD project focused on the investigation of the molar mass of native starches: waxy corn, sago, tapioca and normal corn. I used asymmetrical flow field flow fractionation (aFFFF) coupled with a multi-angle light scattering (MALS) and a refractive index detector to determine the size, diffusion co-efficient and molar mass distributions of starch materials.
I graduated in October 2009. From June 2010 to January 2011, I conducted my research on waxy corn starch using Asymmetrical Flow Field Flow Fractionation (AF4) at the University of Graz in Austria. This was short-term contract. I have applied for postdoc funding to continue my research on the molecular characteristics of native starch materials and awaiting the outcome of my grant proposal.
